Police: FBI Agent Involved In Anne Arundel County Murder-Suicide
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide.
Overlooking Round Bay on the Severn River, the neighborhood where this happened is called the Palisades in Crownsville. It became a murder scene shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
"This is horrible," said neighbor Shannan McCready. "We don't have stuff like this happening in this neighborhood. It's a real quiet neighborhood."
Two bodies were found outside a home in the 500 block of Arundel Blvd. A neighbor placed an emergency call after 54-year old Donna Fisher said her estranged husband, 52-year old David Raynor, was threatening her.
Police say Fisher was apparently stabbed to death and Raynor had stab wounds and a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"It appears at this point that the male was the aggressor and the female was the victim," Anne Arundel County Police Lieutenant Ryan Frashure said.
The FBI has confirmed that Raynor was an FBI agent with the Baltimore Field Office. He had been an agent since June 1996, and had been at the Baltimore Field Office since February 2003.
"There's nothing that indicates at all at this point, that there's a threat to the community," Frashure added.
But neighbors have been left in shock.
"She was awesome," McCready said. "A free-spirited woman. Loved to have fun. Very easy to talk to. I mean, it's sad. It's sad it had to come to this."
Both bodies were taken to the Medical Examiner's Officer for autopsy.
