Anne Arundel County Fire Department Gets New Chief
MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A new fire chief is appointed in Anne Arundel County.
Michael Cox Jr. has been named acting chief of the county fire department.
County Executive Laura Neuman made the announcement Wednesday, saying:
"Chief Cox has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to personal and professional development and brings a level of energy to the position that is critical to our county's future."
Chief Cox has been with the department for more than 25 years, serving multiple bureaus and divisions.
He currently resides in Edgewater with his wife, Deborah, and their two children.
