Annapolis Man Charged With First-Degree Murder
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis Police say a man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a man being sought on several warrants.
Police say Clifton William Tutt, 54, was arrested Tuesday and charged with shooting Teon Leander Wallace, 19. In July, police say Wallace pointed a gun and threatened to kill a woman in Annapolis. He was also suspected in an armed robbery in August.
Police say it is not clear what led to Tuesday's shooting in the 1000-block of Monroe Street, where Wallace was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the upper torso.
Tutt, who was arrested a short distance from the scene, is being held on a no bail status.
It is not known if he has an attorney.
