Amtrak Restores Service Between Washington And Philadelphia
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Amtrak service was just restored following widespread delays that hit from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C.

Amtrak employees made minute-to-minute updates Wednesday at Baltimore's Penn Station. Train service may be restored following hours of suspension, but widespread delays continue from Philadelphia to Baltimore and down to D.C.
Amtrak says extensive damage to overhead wires was reported at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cecil County, forcing Amtrak service to stop.
"It would be great to be on time, but it is what it is," said one rider.
Amtrak says it's unclear how the damage was caused, but Sky Eye Chopper 13 found crews racing to fix the problem.
"I'm traveling to New York for a business meeting tonight, so I hope I get out on time to arrive for my meeting," said Rick Sunderland.
While some passengers are waiting it out at Penn Station, others are looking for other options to get to their destinations, whether it's renting a car or heading to BWI.
"I'm just trying to decide if I should go get a rental car and drive," said one passenger.
"To be perfectly honest with you, ma'am, I probably would," said an employee.
"I just really need to need to get to New York and I would really prefer to take the train," said Carmen Chang. "[But] they don't know when they're going to repair it [so] I think I'll take a plane."
MARC service between Baltimore and Washington is not affected.
Amtrak says those who paid for a ticket but chose not to travel because of the suspension in service can get a refund or voucher.
