Amtrak Service Restarts Between D.C., New York
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Amtrak says service has restarted between Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia after service was suspended for about four hours by overhead wire problems.
Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole says crews are still trying to complete repairs on wires north of Baltimore on Sunday evening, but two of three tracks have reopened.
Cole says there will still be 30 to 45 minute delays on the northeast corridor between Washington and Philadelphia while congestion related delays are resolved, but regular service should be restored Sunday evening. He says service between New York and Boston is not affected.
