Amtrak Cancels Boston-N.Y. Service
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Amtrak has canceled service between Boston and New York as a result of a major winter storm moving up the East Coast.
There will be no more trains from New York to Boston after 5 p.m., and service between Boston and New York will shut down following a 5:10 p.m. departure. That's a total of eight trains canceled -- five to Boston and three to New York.
Service between Boston and Portland, Maine, is also canceled, as are trains between Richmond and Newport News, Va.
Amtrak says service between Washington and New York had not been affected as of Sunday afternoon. The storm largely sideswiped the Washington area.
