Alcohol May Be Factor In Crash That Critically Injured 7-Year-Old Passenger
ODENTON, Md. (WJZ)— A 7-year-old boy is seriously injured in a car crash on Christmas Day.
It happened Tuesday around 10 p.m. when a 1997 Acura 4-door struck a parked rollback tow truck on Casaurina Way near the intersection of Spring Meadow Way in Odenton.
The front seat passenger of the Acura, a 7-year-old boy, sustained severe head trauma as a result of the crash. He was transported to John Hopkins Children's Center in critical condition.
The driver of the Acura, Lisa Marie Middledorf, was uninjured.
Preliminary evidence indicates alcohol and driver fatigue to be contributing factors. She was transported to Western District Police Station for a mandatory breath test.
