Ala. Power Crews To Provide Help In Baltimore
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- An Alabama Power spokesman says crews are heading to Baltimore to help restore power knocked out by Hurricane Irene.
The Birmingham News reports Alabama Power spokesman Ike Pigott says about 275 workers will be in the Baltimore area. He says a small advance team left Sunday afternoon, while the rest are scheduled to leave Monday morning.
Pigott says the crews will probably be in Maryland for a week.
