Ag Biosafety Focus Of Baltimore Conference
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Some of the world's top animal-disease researchers are converging in Baltimore to talk about biological safety.
The U.S. Agriculture Department's International Biosafety and Biocontainment Symposium runs Monday through Wednesday at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor.
Topics include the challenges of containing animal pathogens in developing countries and an update on U.S. regulation of dangerous microbes.
Another presentation will review the response to fears of a swine flu pandemic in 2009.
