Adm. Mullen's Wife Faints At White House Ceremony
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Adm. Mike Mullen's wife, Deborah, fainted during the White House arrival ceremony for Chinese President Hu Jintao, but officials say she quickly recovered.
It happened toward the end of the chilly outdoor ceremony on the White House South Lawn on Wednesday. Deborah Mullen was seen to slump down. She was helped indoors by her husband, who is chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Navy Capt. John Kirby, Adm. Mullen's spokesman, says that Deborah Mullen quickly recovered and is "doing just fine."
