Abortion Foes To Protest Carhart's Md. Clinic
GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Abortion-rights foes are planning a prolonged protest targeting LeRoy Carhart's clinic in Germantown.
The rally begins Saturday and continues through Aug. 7. The schedule includes prayer sessions outside Carhart's clinic and a speaker series.
Carhart runs a clinic in Belleuve, Neb., and is one of the nation's few late-term abortion providers. He opened a clinic last year in Germantown after Nebraska passed a law banning abortions after 20 weeks gestation.
