Aberdeen Elementary School Placed On Lockdown Due To Police Investigation

ABERDEEN (WJZ) --  An Aberdeen elementary school was on lock down Thursday afternoon after police were dispatched to a report of a shooting near the school.

Police were investigating the shooting around 1:39 p.m. in the area of New County Road and E. Bel Air Avenue.

Hall's Crossroad Elementary School was immediately placed on lock down as a precaution and to allow for an investigation.

Police said the school would reopen at 3:50 p.m.
