Anne Arundel Co. Police Investigate Annapolis Mall Stabbing
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a stabbing at the Annapolis Mall.
The incident happened at a store inside the mall.
Police say a group of people engaged in a verbal altercation. One of the people involved threw a punch, but did not strike anyone. At that time, police say the eventual suspect--Octavia Williams--swung her hands and struck the victim in her back with a sharp instrument. The sharp instrument punctured the victim's back.
The 21-year-old victim wasn't hospitalized.
Police say they will charge Williams with first- and second-degree assault. They say none of the others will be charged.
