BLOG: A Warmup Is Coming Our Way
Even though it was a much colder morning, do you realize that we were only 2 degrees higher today than yesterday? What a difference sunshine makes...and the lack of wind. It will be another cold one tonight with temperatures down in the 20s. Then, we are still going to be slightly below average tomorrow with highs near 50. However, a warm up is coming our way.
Winds turn back around to the south on Tuesday as a new storm moves this way. It will also pump warmer air our way ahead of it. High temperatures will jump nearly 10 degrees for Tuesday, topping out near 60 degrees. Clouds will take over Tuesday and the rain will move in Tuesday afternoon. Some heavy rain will move through Tuesday night and Wednesday before the cold front gets out of here Wednesday night.
Another round of chilly air will follow for the end of the week. Expect highs only in the 40s again Thursday and Friday with overnight lows dropping into the 20s. There could be some lake-effect snow showers in western Maryland on Thursday when the cold air comes rushing in.
