$900M Powerball Jackpot Winning Numbers Announced
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Lottery officials confirm early Sunday morning that there's no Powerball jackpot winner from Saturday night's drawing.
The next drawing will be on Wednesday night and the jackpot will be at least $1.3 billion dollars!
According to Texas Lottery, Wednesday's Powerball jackpot cash value will be at the record-setting $806 million!
But you don't have to be a jackpot winner to cash in big.
Here's Saturday night's winning numbers: 32, 16,19,57,34, Powerball = 13
To win the jackpot, a ticket must have all six numbers correct. The first five can be in any order but the sixth must be the Powerball number.
For days thousands across the stated flocked to the stores for just a chance to win a record-setting $900 million Powerball jackpot.
The jackpot has been growing since November 7th, 2015. Since then, lottery officials say sales have only taken off.
"It's just been building , and building, and building. It's been 4 years since the last world-record jackpot," said Maryland Lottery director, Gordon Medenica.
At Milford Liquors in Windsor Mill, people have been lining up non-stop—everyone, with plans on how they will spend their winnings.
"I'm probably going to buy a new car, buy my mom a new house, and give some to charity," said Deanna Collins.
If there's a winner, they have the option to take a payout over 30 years, or take the lump sum, which is currently estimated at $558 million.
After you tack on the taxes. The federal government takes 25%, and then more taxes based on where you bought your ticket. New York and Maryland have the highest lottery tax rates.
Maryland lottery officials say winners will take home an estimated $369.6 million after taxes.
With odds at nearly 1 in 300 million, you have a better chance a getting struck by lightning, likely to get killed in a shark attack and more likely to achieve sainthood.
