9 Arrested In Sobriety Checkpoint
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- Nine people were arrested at a sobriety checkpoint on westbound US Rt. 40 and Governors Run Way.
According to police, seven drivers were arrested and charged with a DUI. Two of those were also charged with a drug violation and for driving without a license. Another driver was arrested for a drug violation and the ninth involved an unlicensed driver.
Police say 950 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
Howard County Police, Maryland State Police and representatives of MADD were at the checkpoint.

Police remind you that if you are drinking, have a designated driver or take a cab.
