7th Teenager Charged In Fatal Metro Stabbing
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A seventh teenager has been charged as an adult with murder in the fatal stabbing of another teen last fall at a Metro station in northwest Washington.
Greg Whittaker, 19, of Hyattsville, Md., was indicted Wednesday on felony murder and other charges.
Six other teenagers, all ages 16 and 17, were indicted last month. Chavez Myers has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder, and the others are charged with felony murder, which means they're accused of participating in a felony in which a murder was committed.
Police say the victim, 18-year-old Olijawon Griffin, was attacked and robbed of an iPhone and a jacket last Nov. 17. He was stabbed after he confronted the teens he believed had robbed him at the Metro station, including one who was wearing his jacket.
