Funeral Plans Set For Md. Trooper Killed In Crash
RANDALLSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Funeral plans are set for the Maryland state trooper who was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 over the weekend.
Police say Trooper First Class Shaft Hunter, 39, may have been pursuing a speeding motorcycle when his vehicle hit a tractor trailer early Saturday.
A viewing is planned for 4 p.m. Thursday at the Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Home in Randallstown. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at New Antioch Baptist Church of Randallstown. Burial will be at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens immediately after the funeral service.
Gov. Martin O'Malley has ordered the Maryland flag be flown at half-staff in Hunter's honor until sunset on the day of the funeral.
