7-Eleven Worker Killed In Fort Washington
FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a convenience store employee in Fort Washington has been shot and killed in an apparent robbery.
Police spokesman Cpl. Mike Rodriguez says officers were called to a 7-Eleven store in the 9200-block of Oxon Hill Road about 3:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of unknown trouble. He says arriving officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rodriguez says it appears the shooting occurred during a robbery at the store. The shooter fled.
Rodriguez says police are pulling surveillance footage from the store to get a description of the suspect.
He says another employee was in the store at the time of the shooting, but was not injured.
