60 Years For Man In Md. Child Porn Case
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A federal judge has sentenced a Middle River man to 60 years in prison on child pornography charges involving 1-year-old and 12-year-old girls.
U.S. District Judge William Nickerson also sentenced John Nicklas IV, 35, to supervised release for life if he serves the 60-year-sentence.
Prosecutors say Nicklas and his fiancee, Shannon L. Honea, made videos of Nicklas abusing a 1-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl as well as videos of young girls undressing.
Nicklas pled guilty to two counts of sexually exploiting minors to produce child pornography. Prosecutors say Honea pleaded guilty Tuesday to the same charges. Prosecutors say they will recommend a sentence of between 30 years and 35 years followed by supervised release for life. Nickerson scheduled a June 8 sentencing for the 27-year-old Middle River woman.
