Mother Charged In Death Of Her 30-Day-Old Daughter
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- It took more than a year, but a young woman finally admits she caused the death of her newborn.
Damira Latham, 21, is charged with first-degree murder.
During questioning, she admitted to police she slammed down her 30-day-old baby girl, causing her head to snap back and hit a TV stand.
It happened February, 2014. Police had been investigating since the baby died.
