5 University Cooks Face Off For Charity
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Dining hall cooks from five local universities are taking part in a cafeteria cook-off, all in the name of charity.
The schools taking part in Wednesday evening's competition in Baltimore are: Pennsylvania's Franklin and Marshall, Virginia's Shenandoah University, Virginia Wesleyan, Mary Washington in Virginia, and the host university Loyola University Maryland.
The theme of the competition is movies, and cooks from each school have chosen a movie inspiration for their food. Those movies include "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Harry Potter."
More than 200 people are expected to attend the event. Tickets cost $10. The event benefits benefit Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Loyola University Maryland Center for Community Service and Justice.
