5 Townhouses Damaged In Md. Fire
ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a three-alarm blaze has damaged five townhouses in Elkton.
The fire was reported about 3:40 a.m. Thursday by residents alerted by their smoke alarms. Official say the fire started inside an unoccupied townhouse and spread.
Some 50 firefighters from several companies brought the blaze under control after 90 minutes. There were no injuries. Damage was estimated at $300,000.
A family of six was displaced from one townhouse.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
