5 Reasons Orioles Fans Are Rooting Against The Royals
Alright, #wewontstop turned into a #screechinghalt in the ALCS at the hands of the Royals, but that's not the (only) reason for Orioles fans to root against the Royals in the World Series.
Sure, we don't like to lose, especially getting swept in the midst of the excitement that Orioles baseball in October brought to Baltimore. But, we are not always that small..hell, a quality team with a great manager & players that respect the game might even win over a few fans in Baltimore, even after the sweep.
Not so with this KC team.
So, here are 5 reasons O's fans are rooting against the Royals in this years World Series.
1. Ned Yost is a terrible manager.
We are lucky to have one of the sharpest & classiest baseball men in the game managing the Baltimore baseball club. Ned Yost is neither of those things.
Many pro pundits & fans consider him a dim bulb manager whose team is getting lucky. In fact, until the incredible 8 game winning streak to start the Royals playoff run the term #Yosted on twitter documented his many & varied idiotic moves, most of these coming from Royals fans!

I hope they dump a Gatorade cooler full of Kansas City's tears on Ned Yost after this game. #Yosted #Royals #BeRoyalKC

Believe it is safe to say that Yost has become more hated in #KC than Lin Elliott by a factor of three. #Yosted pic.twitter.com/8XqMXxR9Rd

2. Mike Moustakas & Pine Tar.
As if it wasn't bad enough that Mike Moustakas killed us with the bat, but he's got a hat full of pine tar too? ...and of course the 3rd baseman is the last player to touch the baseball before it goes to the pitcher after they throw it "around the horn."

3. Their players are jerks.
Jeremy Guthrie wears a disparaging Orioles shirt to his press conference, Jarrod Dyson talks a ton of smack, Eric Hosmer shows up pitchers with excessive celebrating on the field...c'mon this is baseball! All these things are standard in the NFL, but Baseball? Baseball? It's just NOT done. What's next? Are these guys going to start spiking the baseball?
Really?

4. Orange & Black!
Yeah, we are rooting for laundry. If it can't be our Orange October we might as well root for the other guys who look almost as sharp as the O's.
5. OK, we are that small.
Man, its tough to see it end that way. The Orioles had an amazing season & did better than anyone outside the clubhouse would have predicted & if the Royals weren't who they are & acted the way they acted they might've had Orioles Fan support. Another small market club exceeding expectations may have won us over, but not these guys. If we are watching at all it's to root for the GIANTS.
Hey KC - We are Baltimore. And we don't like you.
Go Giants!
