5 Nominees For Best Actor: World Cup Edition
By: Maria Perez
It is just me or is every player in the World Cup this year giving Matthew McConaughey a run his money?
Many games have come down to the wire and most of the prevailing teams have their expert floppers to thank. Here are the nominees for Best Actor in the 2014 World Cup. We'll let you decide who put on the best show...
5. Greece Forward, Giorgo Samaras
Apparently the reaction to minimal foot contact is the same as being tackled by a linebacker. Conveniently enough, Samaras' theatrics scored them a penalty kick to win the game against Ivory Coast.
4. Portugal Forward, Cristiano Ronaldo
Perfectly quaffed hair AND being a huge cry baby on the field is what Cristiano Ronaldo is famous for. Since we can't hear what he says every time he yells at the ref, I like to think he is saying, "He messed up my hair!" ... totally possible.

3. United States Midfielder & Defender, DeMarcus Beasley

Props are very effective when it comes to making the audience really believe you. DeMarcus Beasley was taken off the field on a stretcher in the game versus Portugal leaving everyone thinking his season was over. Well he fooled us, because he was back in no time as if nothing had happened.
2. Netherlands Midfielder, Arjen Robben
No flop goes unnoticed when you're the guy in highlighter orange playing the team that matches the color of the grass ... Lucky for him, he played up the trip in the penalty box well enough to help the Netherlands live to fight another day and knock Mexico out of the tournament.
1. Brazil Forward, Neymar
JT wasn't singing to Britney in "Cry Me A River" he was singing to Neymar. At only age 22 he is already known for his over the top theatrics for even the slightest contact with the opposing team. He is the epitome of Boy Who Cried Wolf.
