5 Arrested In Death Of Md. Teen Slain Over Shoes
HILLCREST HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say five men have been arrested in the death of a high school freshman who was killed over a pair of shoes.
Fifteen-year-old Charles Walker Jr., a freshman at Suitland High School, was fatally shot Monday. Police have said robbery was the motive.
Police say all five suspects, who range in age from 18 to 23, are in custody. All five have been charged with first-degree murder.
Walker's death was one of two shootings this week involving Suitland students. Another Suitland freshman was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon in Forestville, and police say a second victim of that shooting has also died after being in grave condition.
