4 More Teens Charged As Adults In D.C. Stabbing
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Four more 17-year-olds have been charged as adults in connection with a fatal stabbing earlier this month at the Woodley Park Metro station in northwest Washington.
The teens were charged Monday. One teen, 17-year-old Chavez Myers, had already been charged as an adult with second-degree murder while armed and assault with a dangerous weapon.
A total of nine suspects were arrested in the Nov. 17 death of Olijawon Griffin of Olney. Police say Griffin, 18, was robbed of an iPhone and jacket while trying to buy marijuana and later confronted the alleged robbers at the Metro station. An altercation then led to his death.
Police are still searching for a 10th suspect. They say more of the teens now charged as juveniles could later be charged as adults.
