Girl Dies, 3 Sisters Injured In P.G. House Fire
HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) --A young girl died and three sisters were injured in an early morning fire in Prince George's County.
Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the fire broke out at the house in the 4700-block of 40th Avenue in Hyattsville about 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Fire officials say 9-year-old Kimberly Hernandez died later at Children's Hospital of injuries suffered in the fire.
Thirteen-year-old twin sisters and a 2-year-old sister were also injured in the fire. One of the twin sisters was transferred from Prince George's Hospital Center to a hyperbaric chamber in Baltimore to be treated for smoke inhalation. The other two sisters were also hospitalized in serious condition.
