4 Charged In Beating Death Of Baltimore Man After Rape Allegations
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Police arrest four people in connection with a deadly beating in Northwest Baltimore that stemmed from a rape allegation.
City police were patrolling the 800-block of Lennox Street earlier this month for possible drug activity when they encountered a beating.
Police say four people--19-year-old Latiqwa Mayes, 59-year-old Willie Mayes, 17-year-old Kwan Blackburn and 17-year-old Malik Hampton-Cummings--were beating Donald Robinson in the middle of the street.
An investigation revealed that as Robinson was walking by Latiqwa Mayes she yelled to her father Willie Mayes that Robinson had raped her.
Police say the group then assaulted Robinson by kicking, punching and spraying him with mace. Police say one suspect even attacked him with a traffic cone.
Robinson was transported to Shock Trauma but did not survive.
All four suspects face a slew of charges, including first-degree murder.
Charges documents reveal Latiqwa Mayes did not file any reports with law enforcement on any sex offense.
