4 Arrested In Robbery Of Newspaper Deliveryman
WALDORF, Md. (AP) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office says it has arrested four men in the robbery and beating of a newspaper deliveryman.
Deputies say early on Aug. 5, the man was delivering papers when he was approached by a group of men who punched and kicked him repeatedly.
The suspects stole the man's wallet and cell phone, stripped him naked and fled in his van.
The man crawled to a police station and was taken to a hospital.
Arrested over the past several days were 21-year-old Jerrod Benson of Lexington Park, and 21-year-old Andrew Washam, 20-year-old Derrick Thompson and 19-year-old Gregory Boseman Jr., all of Waldorf. They are all charged with robbery, assault and other offenses.
