4-Alarm Fire Heavily Damages Baltimore Building
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Firefighters are trying to determine the cause of a four-alarm fire that raged for hours and heavily damaged a commercial building in Southwest Baltimore.
The fire was reported about 8 p.m. Friday in the Three Brothers building, which houses several businesses, including a coin laundry, Internet cafe and convenience and liquor stores.
Officials say the roof of the 100-by-300-foot building collapsed, as did one of the walls. The fire was brought under control about 5 a.m. Saturday.
There were no injuries.
The family-owned Three Brothers building opened in 1959.
