3 Women Charged With Bank Robbery In Essex
ESSEX, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police say three women have been charged with robbing a bank in Essex.
Police say the robbery occurred Friday afternoon at the Baltimore County Savings Bank on Eastern Boulevard.
Police say two of the women handed the teller a note implying that they had a bomb. The teller turned over money and the women drove off in a car that officers stopped a short distance away. They were identified as Ashley Fitz, 22, Czekiah Fludd, 24, and Alexis Chandler, 19.
The three women were all charged with armed robbery and are being held on $350,000 bail at the county jail. Fitz was charged with a bank robbery that occurred the day before.
Detectives are investigating whether the women are responsible for other robberies in the area.
