3 Sought In Charles Co. Home Invasion
HUGHESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are looking for three men who they say held a family at gunpoint during a home invasion in Charles County.
Officials say the men broke into a home on Leonardtown Road in Hughesville around 5 a.m. Wednesday. A woman and a 5-year-old boy were not hurt, and a man who was struck several times during the incident is expected to recover. The men reportedly took money before fleeing in a white SUV.
Charles County Sheriff's deputies tried to stop the SUV, but it got away after a pursuit.
Investigators believe the family was targeted and do not believe the home invasion was a random act.
