3 Rescued From Flooded Roadway In Bowie
BOWIE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say they have rescued three people, including an infant, from a car that became stuck in high water in Bowie.
Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says officials were called to Governors Bridge Road at the Patuxent River about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. He says officials rescued two females, aged 17 and 18, and an 8-month-old baby after water rose around their car. Brady says water had entered the passenger compartment of the car up to the seat level.
No injuries were reported.
Brady says the area is prone to flooding after heavy rain.
