3 Charged In Vandalism, Thefts In Frostburg
FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) -- Allegany County authorities say three men have been charged in a series of thefts and vandalism in Frostburg.
Officials say on Dec. 15, Frostburg police began getting calls from residents reporting their outdoor holiday decorations had been stolen. Into the next morning, authorities also received reports of rocks being thrown through vehicle windows and one home. A total of 16 incidents were reported with a total damage estimated at more than $13,000.
An investigation by the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit led to the arrest this week of three young men.
Robert Evans Patterson II, 19, of Elkton, Brandon Shea Nils MacMurphy, 19, of Riva and Nicholas Edward Dorsey, 18, of Temecula, Calif., have been charged in the crimes. They are free on their own recognizance.
