Woodlawn Woman Charged With Setting Her Own House On Fire
WOODLAWN, Md. (WJZ) -- A 25-year-old woman has been charged with setting her own home on fire in Woodlawn.
Baltimore County police and medical personnel responded to a home in the 1600-block of Langford Road just before 6 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report about a suicidal individual.
After determining the incident was a simple assault, officers left the home, but they were called back later and discovered a fire had been started on the second floor.
Fire department units extinguished the fire.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Officers put Ashley Joy Davis in a police vehicle to protect her from the fire. Police said she was later arrested for kicking out a squad car window.
Davis also allegedly assaulted a police officer during processing.
Davis later admitted to starting the fire because of a dispute. She has been charged with first-degree arson, second- degree assault and related charges.
Davis is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $250,000 bail.
