2 Women Die In Separate Baltimore Shootings
BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) -- Baltimore police say two women have been killed in separate shootings.
Police say Nana Mensah, 19, was shot in the head while seated in a car parked in the city's Irvington neighborhood Thursday night. Police say the shooting occurred on South Augusta Ave.
Mensah was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead about 9:45 p.m.
Detectives are looking for a 2-door gray Honda with tinted windows and Chesapeake Bay tags. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
Police say the second shooting occurred in the city's Cherry Hill area, where the victim told police she had been shot by an unknown passenger she had picked up in the neighborhood Thursday night. The Baltimore Sun reported that the unidentified woman, who was shot in the torso, died about 1 a.m. Friday at Shock Trauma.
