2 Sentenced For Threatening Judges On Facebook
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Two men who prosecutors say discussed killing two judges on Facebook have each been sentenced to three years in prison.
Zachary Mitchell, 20, of Brooklyn Park and Justin Ferrell, 26, of Pasadena were sentenced Monday in an Anne Arundel County Court. Both pleaded guilty to two counts of threatening to injure a state official.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that authorities began investigating Mitchell after an informant said he tried to buy a rifle to kill District Court Judge Danielle Mosley, who was presiding over a theft case against him.
Prosecutors say investigators found Facebook postings in which Mitchell allegedly discussed killing Mosley and Ferrell wrote about killing Circuit Court Judge Michele Jaklitsch. Ferrell was facing a charge of probation violation before Jaklitsch.
