2 Naval Academy Grads Killed In Alabama Crash
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- U.S. Naval Academy officials say two graduates have been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Alabama.
Alabama State Troopers say 25-year-old Patrick Hunt Drury of Meridian, Miss., and 25-year-old Christopher McArthur of Toomsuba, Miss., were killed early Sunday near York in Sumter County. Naval Academy officials confirmed to The Capital of Annapolis that Drury and McArthur were graduates.
Alabama authorities say the two were passengers in a car that hit a parked truck. The driver and two other passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
A spokeswoman at Naval Air Station Meridian in Meridian, Miss. said that Drury and McArthur were both student naval aviators.
