Suspects Arrested In Stabbing Of Towson University Student; 2 Other Students Robbed At Gunpoint
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ)—A rash of violence in Towson has students from several colleges on edge. The most recent assault: a robbery at gunpoint.

The arrests announced Monday involve a brutal attack on a Towson University student near campus. But police are still looking for another group of men who robbed two students at gunpoint Sunday morning a few miles away.
A Towson University student was just walking along Burke Avenue near campus when police say a group of men stabbed him multiple times and took his phone.
That happened Nov. 3. Now authorities confirm to WJZ those attackers have been arrested and they could also be linked to the robbery of a Goucher College student the next day.
"I have late classes, and I walk down this strip every day, so it's better knowing that they caught them," said Ashley Jean-Pierre, student.
"We expect to see charges filed in this case a little bit later this week," said Elise Armacost, Baltimore County Police spokeswoman. "This was a very serious crime. This victim was very seriously injured, and we are extremely happy to have information about who's responsible."
Investigators also say they do not believe another group of men--seen on WJZ exclusive surveillance video and arrested last week in connection with as many as 14 armed commercial robberies--are connected with any of the student attacks.
And they also do not think the same suspects are behind the attacks on two more Towson University students, who were robbed at gunpoint over the weekend.
That robbery happened Sunday morning in the 1300-block of Hillsway Court, located almost two miles from the Burke Avenue crimes, which are much closer to campus.
As the students were walking to a friend's house off campus, they say three men approached them with a gun and took their money before fleeing.
That robbery remains unsolved. Mothers like Barbara Marks, who has two children, remain on alert.
"It scares me a little bit," Marks said. "I'm going to just watch my kids very carefully when they're outside."
Police say there should be no difficulty getting those arrested in the Towson student's stabbing back to Baltimore County to face justice in that case. The suspects in that robbery are being held without bail in another jurisdiction.
Police would not comment on the current condition of the Towson University who was stabbed earlier this month.
