2 Metro Red Line Stations Closed For Weekend Work
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two stations on Metro's red line are closed this weekend for maintenance work, and customers will have to take shuttle buses to travel through the affected stations.
Metro says customers will have to take shuttle buses between Dupont Circle and Van Ness. Customers traveling in the area should expect about 25 minutes of additional travel time. Customers traveling on other areas of the red line should expect delays of about 10 minutes.
Other areas of the system are also being affected by weekend work. Orange and blue line trains will share a single track on the line between McPherson Square and Smithsonian stations. On the green line, trains will share a stingle track between Naylor Road and Branch Avenue. Delays of 10 to 15 minutes are expected as a result.
