2 Men Sentenced For Running Prostitution Ring
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Two men, including a former Baltimore firefighter, have been sentenced in federal court for running a prostitution ring.
Franklin Roosevelt Coit, 35, and Jamar Marvin Simmons, 31, both of Baltimore, had each pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor.
Coit was sentenced Tuesday to more than 11 years in prison. Simmons, who was a firefighter, was sentenced to 15 years on Friday.
According to their plea agreements, Coit and Simmons operated a brothel in Baltimore. Prosecutors say the two advertised online for exotic dancers and escorts to recruit women, including at least one underage girl.
