2 Men Indicted After Crash That Killed Prince George's Officer
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Two men have been indicted in a pursuit and car crash that killed a Prince George's County police officer two months ago.
Authorities announced indictments Thursday against Kevon Neal and Kenneth Mitchell.
Officer Adrian Morris died in August when the cruiser he was in ran off Interstate 95 during a chase and into a ditch. He and another officer were pursuing a vehicle, occupied by Neal and Mitchell, that matched the description of a car involved in an earlier theft.
Prosecutors say Neal, who remains held without bond, is charged with motor vehicle manslaughter, fleeing and eluding police and theft greater than $10,000. Mitchell has been charged with theft greater than $10,000.
