2 Men Arrested In Killing Of Univ. Of Md. Student
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Two men have been arrested in the killing of a University of Maryland student.
Prince George's County police on Thursday announced the arrests of Stephan Weaver, 22, of Bowie and Deandre Ricardo Williams, 23, of Washington. They're charged with first-degree murder in the January slaying of Justin Vance Desha-Overcash, 22. He was found shot to death at a home just off campus. His death was part of a spike in homicides in the county at the start of the year.
Police say the motive appears to be robbery.
Weaver is being held without bond at the jail in Upper Marlboro. Williams was arrested in Washington and is awaiting extradition to Prince George's County. It wasn't immediately clear if the two had lawyers.
