2 Md. Teens Accused In Killing Of D.C. Cab Driver

WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police say two teenagers are accused of killing a taxi driver so they could rob him of money.

Court records show Joshua T. Mebane, of Waldorf, Md., and Linda Bury, of Parkton, Md., both 17, are charged with murder in the killing of Quadar Muhammad.

Police say the couple entered Muhammad's cab last Wednesday at the Greyhound bus terminal and asked to be driven to a school. Police say once they arrived, Mebane shot Muhammad. The car was later found on fire, with Muhammad's body inside.

The Charles County Sheriff reported late Tuesday that it has obtained a warrant charging Mebane with first-degree murder in the shooting death the Oct. 26 of Teresa Bass, 40, in Waldorf, Md.
