2 Killed In Head-On Collision On Crain Highway
LA PLATA, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say two people were killed in a head-on collision on Crain Highway in Charles County.
The county sheriff's office says a 22-year-old woman was heading southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when she collided head-on with a minivan heading north early Saturday morning. The woman was ejected from her car and died at the scene. The 32-year-old man who was driving the minivan also died at the scene.
The sheriff's office says it's unclear why the woman was driving the wrong way. The crash is still under investigation.
