2 Food Delivery Drivers Victims Of Armed Robbery In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)—Anne Arundel County Police are investigating two armed robberies of food delivery drivers in Glen Burnie that happened over the weekend.

The first occurred Friday at around 11 p.m. in 400-block of Silverleaf Court. A 57-year-old man told police he was delivering food and as he approached the apartment building, he was approached by a group of four to six males believed to be in their mid to late teens.

The suspects assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground.  While on the ground, the victim told police he was kicked and punched by the suspects as one held a knife to his face.

The food that the victim was delivering appears to be the only thing stolen.

The second robbery happened around 10 p.m. Sunday in the 900-block of Langley Road.

A 25-year-old man told police that he delivering for Domino's when he noticed a green sedan/coupe following behind him. He says the car drove past him as he stopped to make his delivery and then returned at the conclusion of the delivery.

A suspect exited the passenger side of the vehicle, displayed a handgun and demanded that the victim empty his pockets. He handed over his wallet.

The suspect immediately fled the area in the vehicle. Several officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'2" with a medium build, wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a black piece of fabric covering his face.
