2 Dogs Shot By Officer After Attacking Md. Boy
PASADENA, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police say two dogs were shot by officers after attacking a 7-year-old boy.
Police say the dogs were shot Saturday afternoon after they received a call from the boy's aunt. Police spokesman Lt. James Fredericks said that when an officer arrived a few minutes later, the two American bulldogs were still attacking the boy.
Fredericks said one dog was shot as it continued to attack the child and the other was shot when it turned on the officer. The two dogs were later euthanized.
The unidentified boy was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. The police spokesman said he did not know the extent of the child's injuries or his condition.
