17-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed; 18-Year-Old Charged
COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- Howard County Police have charged an 18-year-old man in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old youth.
Xavier Trevon Bates of Columbia is charged with first- and second-degree murder in the death of Christian Lendell Hall.
Police say the two were in a fight earlier in the day Wednesday.
Officers say Bates went to Hall's home, forced his way into his apartment and stabbed him several times, fleeing on his bicycle.
Hall was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Bates was arrested at a hospital, where he went for treatment of a hand injury.
