14-Year-Old Girl, 16-Year-Old Boy Charged In Death Of 17-Year-Old Ty'kerria Dawson Who Was Found Dead Along Frederick Trail

FREDERICK, Md. (WJZ) -- A 14-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy are charged in the death of 17-year-old Ty'kerria Dawson. Dawson, of Hagerstown, was found dead along a Frederick trail over the weekend.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Richard Eugene Cartnail III and Caliyah Dawnae Lobaugh, both of Frederick. They were both charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder on July 1. They were charged as adults.

Dawson's body was found around 5 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area located behind Briargrove Court. She would have turned 18 on June 28 and recently graduated from Antietam Academy.

Both are currently being processed at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
